Jack has been a painter decorator for 20 years. Working on various projects on both the commercial and domestic side of the painting and decorating art, he learnt the trade with very experienced old English guys who’d been doing it all their lives. He learned hands on, on site and learnt fast. Jack became professional with an exceptional eye for detail – often employed doing the final snagging of various jobs due to his high standard of finish and professionalism.

Having dedicated over 20 years of his life to the painting industry, Jack decided to start his own company where he could be more hands on with his customers and their experience.


Jack met Ruth two years ago while both were working in London. Ruth has a background in design and together the idea was born to create Paintbrush. At first, various sketches were done to create the company’s signature trademark, which Ruth manually designed by hand. We registered our finished logo in February 2014 via the intellectual property office. The company was incorporated on March 13th, 2015.

The client phones Paintbrush inquiring about an estimate after hearing about us through our website, a personal recommendation, a leaflet or having seen a sign on one of our vans. Over the phone one of the Paintbrush team arranges a convenient time to visit.

After visiting the client and the place where the work will take place Paintbrush will send a detailed estimate via email, or if requested via post. The estimate will show what work will be completed and the estimated cost. The client chooses Paintbrush and accepts the estimate either via email, over the phone or perhaps in

Work in Progress

The Paintbrush decorator will arrive promptly on the first day of the work at a pre-arranged time. They will start each day at a set time that will be shared with you in advance. We pride ourselves on being punctual and effective. Our team is police checked and therefore our clients can leave keys with

Step 4

Inspection by Client

At the end of the job, the client will be provided with a Snagging List from Paintbrush. The client or the client’s agent can inspect the work and highlight any areas that they feel need any further attention. Paintbrush will then arrange a convenient time in which to return to the property, to ensure that

Soon afterwards Paintbrush will ask for a quick evaluation on the work in order to reflect on our services and to strengthen our future customer care.

Payment Terms

Usually no deposit is required, with payments being made as the work progresses. Request for the final payment on satisfactory completion is required unless otherwise arranged.
